How to Deal with Negative Energies

Awareness today is growing to the positive and good energies that always surround us. But, at the same time, there is also a growing awareness and desire to protect ourselves from negative energies, some of which stem from the evil eye.

We put together a few methods of dealing with the problem:

1. Purification using sage – cheap and simple. First you need to tidy up and clean the house or the place where the purification is to be done. Take a handful of dried sage leaves. Put in a fireproof dish and light it in several places. The rising fire should be extinguished (sage should burn like charcoal embers). Sage smoke is what purifies the negative energies from the room or the house, so, with the windows open, you should walk around with the dish or bowl in the rooms of the house, from corner to corner and ask that all the negative energies leave the place, ask for good and loving energies and abundance and success to enter your home (you can ask for any unwanted feeling to leave and order whatever your heart desires to come in and replace it).

It is possible to also use bells or cymbals in the process – sounds can also influence the energies.

2. Washing the house with sea water or salt water. The salt absorbs the negative energies in the house.
3. Black tourmaline is the strongest gem for protection from negative energies. It is recommended to place a few stones around the house – one in each room and a bigger one in the center of the house.

Other stones that are good for protection are: turquoise, blue agate.

4. There is a very large selection of Kabbalah jewelry for protection from negative energies in general and the evil eye in particular: a selection of jewelry that contains the combination of the letters אלד (aleph lamed daled), and pendants with sentences such as: “Ben Porat Yosef Ben Porat Alai Ayin”, “May God bless you and keep you”, and etc.

5. The cat’s eye stone, chrysoberyl, is mentioned in Jewish sources in the book “Midrash Talpiot” and is the most powerful of the cat’s eye stones. It provides protection, prevents poverty, improves prosperity and brings luck and happiness. In other cultures, it is used to ward off the evil eye and melancholy, and evoke intuition. In addition, it increases abundance; the stone strengthens one’s personality, strengthens charisma, confidence and ability, and enables varying amounts of success and prosperity.
